Comcast in Chicago 100% would not allow me to work until I passed their check, and then I had to do another deeper check to get access to their server past the fire wall.
I bought my own check from crimeshield 1st just in case something came up since I have a extremely common 1st & last name.
IIRC the crimeshield was 25 years, and it was pretty cheap, well worth saving any embarrassment over a screw up on your record.
I figure it's like a credit report, better to know someone is dicking around with your good name than not know!!!
The only issue I had was being forced to do a drug test, when all the guys know I absolutely hate POS crackheads for as long as I've been working!!
I have no issue with being loud & proud against druggies!!!
