First of all, I have nothing more than speeding tickets on my record. So I’m not trying to hide anything. We only provide OSP services. Our company does not entry any homes for I&R work. So I see little need for a background check for the type of work we do. Therefore we have declined any job that requires a background check.
IMHO the most commonly used background check company is a fraud. I personally called and talked to a principal of the company. His answers to my questions did not give me confidence in the company. They do make a nice looking & fancy badge as well as a website. But their claim on how they do background checks for the price they charge was unbelievable to me. In addition I am very uncomfortable submitting all my employees personal data to a company that I have no idea how or if that data is secure.
