Re: Storm damage fiber splicing

We have only worked storm damage 3 times in 40+ years. Then only because we had already worked for those companies before and had a relationship with them. Never have we chased storms. I’ve been gettin emails from Storm chaser contractors offering prices lower than current regular jobs I have doing right  now. Their incentive is to be able to work 12+ hour days, 7 days a week, for 2-4 weeks.  We would be worn out and be lucky to end up with the same net profit.

The current jobs have materials, plans, and money allocated. Motels, food and fuel at regular rates. I have a relationship with these companies and know I’ll get paid. I would have no idea if I’d get paid from storm chasing contractors.
