No such a thing as normal ground in my opion ,so many factor as in how many road ,railroad highway etc crossing ,as well how many utilities underground usually less than 3 goes to plow crews on rural areas !in the city ,do u need mod ,road closure ,some areas require certain places for water instead of just getting water from hydrants!what do u need to locate !if you are working for a comp that has a telecom wire underground u are responsible for locate as well as certain shopping center etc their parking lots electric passes as a private ,are you doind a drop to a business like to walmart ,etc or just putting main line side of road !!best case we did 1800 ftish with a jt10 ,did concrete cutting restoration,spot dig the hell out of the area and setting few vaults!
