A warning to all: Watch the talk about banding together to fix prices, even as a union....It's against the law to group together and try to set prices, back in 1980 I tried to start a contractors association with the goal of being treated and paid like other related contractors doing power or telephone. I was warned about rackteiring and fixing prices. I held a meeting in Kansas City KA...some 15 contractors showed up, we talked about it but no one wanted to take those extra steps to make it happen. If you don't like your pay scale...then just move on...this is a result of crews working on unit instead of by the hour. Cable lineman are shit on every day of the week and twice on Sunday's. Every day ending "Y", as in why the hell am I doing this type of work....for peanuts!!!!
