Re: Finding Businesses to sub out of

I have always been a contractor, not as young as you, I was over seas 1st watching the commies for a while.

You can't work without all the equipment required to do what your contract is for.
So you need a minimum set up.
I didn't have a bucket for many years, I climbed or used a ladder.
I also didn't get certain work that I get now with more equipment, knowledge & experiance.
I started as a tapper, that was it, I tapped all day every day.

Not sure how successful you can be now a days as a tapper.
After being retired since '09 I'm spending a ton of money just to upgrade so I can even work now a days.

Why would anyone give a guy with no equipment a contract!!!
Look at the ad's. Must have vehicle, insurance, equipment etc etc.

SO either go be inhouse if you are even qualified to do that save your dough, get fully equiped and then chase contracts.
Or work for the cable company forever and retire with what ever package they offer.

I like being a contractor, earn what you get, keep what you earn, take care of your self & family.
I don't want anything I didn't earn, I don't want the same pay as the guy next to me that sucks, is lazy & does horrible work!!!

Good luck.
