Re: What Old Cable Companies Did You Work For?

I can't believe that there is someone out there that worked in a Jack Barry Cablevision system other than myself and a few others!

When I was there Bernie Czarnecki was a manager, Dan Osbourne was the Chief Tech and AJ Brick was the installation supervisor. I remember Doug Barry (one of Jack's sons) trying to learn the business at one of AJ's parties in Playa del Rey back in the 80's...mean while William Shatner was filming TJ Hooker just down the street on a daily basis! The producer would get pissed at us when we used to yell out the window of our trucks: "Hey Captain Kirk" while Shatner would give us the "thumbs up" and the producer would give us the "middle finger up".

I forgot his name but there was an installer who was full-blooded Cherokee that constantly boasted about installing cable in Moon Unit and Dweezil Zappa's mansion and was a regular there with them ever since the "job".
