As a contractor you can drive whatever vehicle you prefer... NOW.. would you have higher expectations of someone pulling up with a ladder strapped to their Toyota Corolla or their Truck? Station Wagon or Van?
The color is primarily your choice also...
If you work FOR the retailer then they can dictate your vhicle choice and color...
White is generally used as an industry standard because they look more professional...
I have a 2000 and 2001 Chevy Astro both are white... also have a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck, Silver...
As a contractor you use what is best suited for YOU, not someone else...
