The internet side of things is where I would suspect it would get dicey. Being a little tech nerd that does not bother me. I can see where it would give somebody fits with the cat 5 connectors but you really only need to make sure all pairs are in the connector the same way. Did a wiring job for johnson controls years ago using cat5 from units to thermostats, company I was working for sent in guys who had never done network cabling before and they blew of color pattern on connectors and out of 38 units they did 30 wrong. was a nightmare.
