Don't invest in buying new parts from the maker of your machine...you can buy "Good" used ones already broke in for around $800.  I get calls all the time from crews getting out of the trade and wanting to sell off their tools/equipment/trailer.   A good used lasher can also be torn down and used as spare equipment in case, as in your problem, the new one requires parts.
Stick with Gereral Machine...this lasher has been around since the 20's, all the problems have already been worked out.
