what works really well is you score the tube once and then move the knife over .25 inch over and score again grab your linemen pliers and pinch the shrink at the head pin and roll the shrink like opening a can of sardines, to the end and it falls right off if its really old shrink hit it a lil with the torch will perfermong this and it falls like butter.
