Yes I do remember sweeping in San Diego and came across same problem.
My suggestion is to replace every old block splice that you see on the print.
This may sound like alot of over kill but ive been there done that and tried to skip some and usally end up going back. Especialy if it is your first amp out, then you go 4 0r 5 deep and that little roll off or spikes magnifi. Redplace them all sweep shots will be much cleaner.
