You hit the nail on the head there Shane, I have been talking to people also and the prices they are paying people to go arent worth me leaving my family for a month or longer.
If they want to train a monkey to do it then they will pay for it in the end when the skilled contractor goes back to fix it. I talked to a kid who is working for a company that I will not name on here who is going to jersey to do drop assesment and repair for $15 an hour and $25 a day in per deim. The funny thing is he thinks that is great and talking about all the money he will be making, all I could do is laugh when I herd.
Its kids like this that go out there and get hurt or killed because they are not properly trained or lack the attention they need to do storm work safely.
I wish all of you guys luck out there and please be safe and watch out for these kids, they have parents and loved ones also.
