The question comes down to if you are required to have workers comp. And if you have employees.
My GL costs about 2400 a year because of California. No workers comp because no employees. Some states offer a waiver like a policy but provides no coverage.
Just know having workers comp they will base it on your payroll. which 6% is probably right.
I have a company that I do work for and they take about that out of each check they send me for workers comp.
