Multiy mode or Single mode fiber?

I have a little side project to do for a customer. They are feeding two other buildings from there main building. Distance is less than a 1000'. They are wanting a 48 fiber ran from the main then 36 to one building and 12 to another. I'm wondering what is the best set up choice. They are trying to wing it. There will be large packs of data going and coming between the three. I was going to set a handhole between the three and have spice point there. Any helpful feed back or suggestion would be helpful. I'm use to working off a print not just winging it.
