Just be careful. even though it is older than the time limit if its worth enough the SCUMBAG debt collector (usually a lawyer that can't even make it as a lawyer) will file in court. You have to appear but the judge will throw it out if you show up. If you don't they can issue a judgement against you. Most won't go to this trouble for small amounts. Went through this about 15 years ago with an ex wife. Learned a lot they still occasionally rear their ugly heads still now 15 years later. Like Baker Capital said, just hoping to get 1 out of 100 to send a dollar to them so the clock starts all over again.Good luck Find a good local lawyer (wow thats an oxymoron) if need be.
