I have a couple of other local businesses that want commercials right now. That one was for a friend and I did it at no charge, but would have sold it for about $750.00 (about 10 hours work)
I also have a couple of weddings that I will be doing this summer, about $1,000.00 each.
Right now I have just finished my first semester in college and am already producing an international television show called Lumen Christ. A Christian talk show. My first show was completed and aired May 7th and filming for the next show will be in about a week.
In order to do this I have about $3,000.00 in cameras, another $1,000.00 in audio recording equipment and another $1,200.00 or so in a custom built computer to do the editing. I most certainly hope to be able to make some money at this, not only to get a return on my investment, but to further invest in more "professional" equipment.
I live just outside of Detroit and Detroit offers some BIG tax incentives for the film industry and is expected to surpass Hollywood in the production of movies.
Yes, there is a big demand for this in my area, but there is also a lot of competition in this industry also.
