Small claims will get you a decision by the court that you are owed money. Getting paid is something much more difficult..................Since you cannot both sue in civil court and charge criminal action.......I would charge them with theft of services if their actions are outside your contract............did you get informed of defective work? .............did you refuse to remedy the situation......did you even know about the chargebacks?...............They can pay you and you can then drop the charges or the judge can order restitution...............Talk to your state's attorney.....see if they will bring charges. Talk to a lawyer................I have a court judgment and no money from that one..............I have money from another installation company owner & he got to stay out of jail. Can't find the others..........Cops putting on the cuffs demands immediate attention.............small claims judgments, not so much..........Joe
