The Magic Jack is like a cable or DSL modem is my understanding. The ID # goes with the phone number. But you can change your phone number but not your ID # IE Serial # IE like a MAC #......
This is what was explained to me.......
If Magic Jack won't convert it? Buy another one.......The New one with Ethernet and POE internal is GRRRRRREEEAAAAAT!!!!!! I buy them and install them for customers......
