Made the decision to turn down installs after I turned one of my own customers in to the law. Had a DirecTV dealership, sold them a system over the phone, went to install it, and Yikes-A Rama!!
The house was bad enough, but when I saw the way they were treating their animals (very severe neglect) I finished the install, got the paperwork signed, then left and drove straight to the police station to report them for animal neglect and child endangerment.
Never regretted it. And have walked off jobs since, refusing to work in such conditions. Usually don't have any problem doing this with proper documentation.
