I was at the Jimi Hendrix concert at Cobo Hall three months before he died. (Yes, I am THAT old). Drugs ruined MANY a good life. For those of us that have lived through all of the artists that could not cope, I am sure that many of us could see this coming for Ms. Winehouse. For all of us that have had someone in thier life that had an addiction, I hope you were as lucky as I was to have them survive and change the road they were on. As soon as I heard this news, I called my family member to see that she was OK. She liked Amy Winehouse and could relate to her problems. We both agreed that it was a loss, but we also agreed that she knew what she was doing. IF you get to rehab, and you go through it more than once, you are pretty much on your own after that. MY daughter went twice. When she lost track of where her kids were, that was the last straw. I am glad she survived.
