WEGENER ADDRESSABLE SATELLITE VIDEO RECEIVER
Wegener addressable satellite video receiver, model 1815-06. This unit is new in the factory box. I took it out only to take pictures. This receiver provides video with audio from a satellite earth station. It is equipped with a network controller that is internal to the receiver. The network controller controls the receiver's transponder channel, audion subcarrier and up to two optional auxially audio and/or data demodulators. The receiver consists of a metal chasis 19" wide, 14" deep, and 3.5" high. It has provisions for rackmount racks. The input to the receiver is 950-1450 MHz The network controller selects the satellite transponder and tunes the audio demodulator. Video and audio ouputs are available at phono jacks on the rear panel. The antenna and LNB system provide the 950-1450 MHZ RF input to the receiver. The receiver's RF input provides DC power for the LNB and optional line amplifiers. The demodultor is to derive data streams from the Series 1800 receiver's baseband. The demodulator may be programmed to accept baseband inputs from 150KHz to 8.2MHz. The input frequency is selected automatically by the uplink if the demodulator is addressable or manually by switches located on the demodulator itself, if non-addressable. These units were removed from service in November 2000. They provided TV service in a MATV system for a Condo. All are in good working order and ready to resume service in your CATV, SMATV,or MATV system. These units operated in the TV Ch's 2 to 13 portion of the spectrum but can be reworked (by the manufacturer) to the chan. of your choice.
