Cox and Metrocast Drop work in VA

Not sure if this is the right forum but I'll ask anyway. How does one go about getting/bidding for residential drop work with COX or Metrocast? Specifically Cox in Hampton Roads VA(Norfolk) and MetroCast in Middlesex and Mathews VA? The guy that currently does the drops for MetroCast is based out of Chesapeak, thats a good 40 to 50 mile drive one way so and the areas rual so the jobs are spread out once ya get here so i figure theres got to be some money in it just due to the high fuel bill. I've been doing drops on and off over the last 10 years, always working with others. I'd like to do it on my own. i currently hold a Class C contractors liscense and have been doing insulation work and have aquired and rebuilt a lineward and that thing can lay some cable for how small it is. I'd like to put it and myself to work doing drops. So who do you contact? What is the process? What kinds of insurance levals are normal? Any info on getting into this or who to sub from in this area would be greatly appreciated.
