It's really not about travelling techs being better than local techs. I've travelled a lot over the past 3 yrs my thing is I will not travel 500 - 1000 miles away to make the same pay that I can make at home. If a company can't find any qualified local techs then they have no choice but to reach out and find traveling techs BUT they have to offer some type of incentive to get a tech to travel out of state. I've work for companies that either paid more per job or paid 7 days out ,etc. Most systems that i've worked in the locals techs always say that their is too much work and not enough techs, it has nothing to do with local techs being hacks.
