Re: advice please

Check cashing companies have insurance and bonding companies to protect themselves from this kind of thing. In some states (most I bet) there are laws to cover writing bad checks. You didn't know the check would bounce. The law in your stste covers this.  Even in bankruptcy employee wages get paid......or are you a contractor? That too makes a difference.

Free advice is worth what you pay for it.  Seek legal counsel in your state...do not skip any court appearance. Do go to your local police with the dishonored checks.
