Cut the line. Ive done it more than once. I call into the SOC or EOC and verify if they are active or not. If they are illegal I cut the drop and notify the MSO. It has to be noticible though, like twist on fittings, walmart cable hooked up to pole tied in a knot on the strand, or just a stinger only sticking into the tap. If it is underground, I cut it off at ground level.
I dont know why you asked but that is as truthful as I can get. I just know you setting me up for something.
