The hi pass works well and has it's place. They have notches for the two way delivery for Digital/HD equiptment mostly 16-18 notch for return. As someone stated they have thier place, such as RV, Hi-rise, MDU's that you can't re-wire unless you get approval from associations etc. Works have also been underway for a modem hi-pass with a 34-35 notch. As always if anyway possible the outlet needs to be replaced first.
