They do this kind of crap all the time. There is enough back up or deniability so that you never get a paper signed by anybody. Your check is just down x amount. In the land of law verbal is nothing. Promises and threats have no weight. What it comes to...if you or I rob a bank and haul off several thousand bucks and get caught there is jail in the future. But if you steal five dollars from everybody you meet every day...who files charges?
It goes like that. Now I just ask if MASTEC is somehow involved in the project...they run ads as Advanced Technology or use employment agencies...I just hang up.
