if you are w-2 employee, "employee" is the keyword, you can not be backcharged for damage you did to somebody's property, unless you were dumb enough to sign a paper saying you authorize the company to take the money out of your check. Now the company however, can terminate you after you damage property or whatever, but they can't backcharge you
