First I would check the firmware issue, next I would ask the higher level support techs to look at saturation at the node or cmts I've seen the internet slow to a crawl from that. They may have to split the node to allow more traffic, if there is a college nearby, students are bandwidth hogs. High volume traffic can slow you down. I would call every day if you are the customer you deserve to be informed.
