Seems to be alot of companies or small owners lying to people just to get them to work, knowing that these are desperate times, they are taking advantage of that. All I know is that if someone feeds you a line of crap to get you to invest your time and resources to get to the job, that owner shouldn't have any reason to be mad that you drug up because you realized what was going on from the second you got there. If someone can't provide what they say, they should get what they deserve. Nothing. If you can't pay someone, you shouldn't be hiring them. If someone beat you down with their line wrench, you deserve it.
