Such a great topic, this one could go on and on, with all the clauses invlolved. The fact of the matter is you and the MSO are responsible anytime you hook a customer up to your system! This is why all neccessary steps must be taken to ensure both the customer and your safety. It is most important ot make sure grounding is done correctly, anything less is unnaceptable. Pertaing to the phone companies, if the tech has not complete the interface requirements correctly and grounded, we will not make the terminations on the BSW. Otherwise the phone company expects you to replace the line and customers components should there be a fault. Hope this helps...
