I was wondering the same thing myself, Im not sure exactly whats up with them except maybe the demand is due to the economy... It sounds like some of them might be a good deal... even if you can wrench your own stuff, parts for newer vehicles are rediculously expensive. The older vehicles probably not worth the insurance because the rates will be too high because age+mileage=more probability of repair statistically, and parts are cheaper. But you might come out ahead on a newer vehicle thats out of factory warranty.
