I remember some years back they had us using rubber coated lashing wire. After a year or so in the sun the rubber rotted off the wire rusted and we were out de/relashing everything. Would have liked to thank the guy who came up with the idea of using non UV protected rubber. Gave us some easy overtime for about 9 months of Saturdays.
