I have never been in a union but like many others have grown up around them. There is nothing more intimidating than a United Steelworkers or Teamsters picket line in Birmingham Alabama in the late 1960's. I have taken many a meal to many a relative on both. But... I, personally have always liked to control my own destiny. I have always been treated fair and always received whatever promised when I was hired everywhere I have worked inhouse. Maybe luck, maybe me being picky who I worked for, don't know. I have only been cheated or stiffed once in 17 years of contracting. Again maybe luck, maybe being picky who I work for. I just like to be in control of my own life, not having someone do it for me. No slamming no fussing, Gwester, just the way I feel about it. Personal responsibility for my actions, right or wrong I am in control of my life.
((Most of the time except when my wife calls me LOL!!)).
