         You talking about the "OLD" o-supporters like they used to hang lead phone with? I suppose a fiber overlash would be okay but I'd be concerned with the supporters rubbing through the sheath. I'd try one span following the arrows with the wire and double lashing and see how it goes but my J's usually have the nose "modified" in order to lash over pickles and such. I havent seen any of that cable in the last 20yrs and what I did see back then wasnt tight to the strand but rather hung below it in rings about 1/2",I'd think it would be a nightmare.
