how can a person do is job a make a living

i was look to go to work for a company, asked for prices list haven.t recieved the prices but was told on the phone what they were and i could believe the prices. $16.00 for a rec replace drop and 3 a/os.new install $24.00 and that includes 3 a/os I didn.t think that i heard that right but i must have then the job that was suppose to start monday has now been push back two weeks, Was told i could go do some storm damage work . asked what the strom damage paid and it was the same $16.00 per drop. I would have to do 20 jobs a day to make $320.00 take away travel expence and motel and w/c genaral libilty and truck ins and 15% for taxes and yes i pay mine and that don,t leave much for me. I WILL NOT WORK FOR FREE SO SOMEBODY CAN MAKE ALL THE MONEY IT'S MY SWEAT AND BLOOD ITS WORTH SOMRTHING
