everybody here jas the rihgt answers - lol... i work on GI alot - 8db pad is too low, you should set an oscilator up as was mentioned we set our return to +5db off a 20 tap at actives. you more than likely, as was mentioned, have a noise problem. also check your retrurn eqs, the plug-in legs on the gi return eqs like to come unsoldered from the board. check your eol terminators they could be kickin noise back at you.
