Times are a changin guys. I used to be able to get away with just a 1750, but now with all of the digital services evolving rapidly, a meter capable of docsis checks like a dsam 3600b or a 860Dspi are the ways to go.
Hell jones broadband sell the 860 for $1800 refurbed and $1950 brand new fully loaded.
refurbed properly calibrated 1750's cost about 1500...The extra $400 is a no brainer.
But then again you can buy a 1750 on ebay with no power adapter and the serial # sticker scraped off for $800. Maybe it won't be stolen...maybe it will be properly calibrated.....maybe, maybe. maybe.
Remember the new boxes all have cable cards in them and I'm not dishing out my hard earned $$$ for non responders.
