Good Morning all ,
Ducks giving his notice at the shop where I’ve been working , I’ve truly enjoyed the break from Cable and being gone all the time . Kansas was just too far from home . I’ll be thinking about men working there this summer. I’ll feel for you with that gumbo clay .The road is calling me back again. Hurricane Season is at hand . Noaa has predicted an active season . I don’t wish havoic on anyone or any place , but two 5’s and a 3 or 4 would sure turn our industry on its ear. There are not enough qualified people now . Ducks got a plan . I’m going to ask Mayor Garner for some more help to get it accomplished . Hopefully his close ties with our Lieutenant Governor Jean Preston ,possibly Governor next term will help . I don’t even know if what I’m going to ask for is possible , but I will soon . I am going to try to assemble a strike force of Cable , Power and Bell people , too help out as pre approved contractors to work hurricane damage . The Mother Companys will be greatful if I accomplish it. Even though It will perturb some primes. This year no ghost trucks , no second runs on work already done , so many things done correctly the first time . Hurricane Repair just as Cable , Telephone and Power are not Rocket science . I see so many problems created by inexperienced management . Proper planning and preparation are keys to successful operation of an disaster related company.
