if your able to go out with a person that knows what he is doing. open a amp and hook up a meter. see for yourself what it does to both the high end and low end. not trying to be a smartass but thats usually how i grasp things. I used to do this in new housing developments where there werent any customers yet. Everytime we got new type of amp i would play with it awhile until i understood it. just make sure u put things back the way they were before u started.
