Not necessarily. The reason is because I see a lot of splitters rejecting weak signals so if you have a strong difference in levels, one will get killed by the splitter. It could also account for splitter degradation as one poster touched on, although I am not sure. Lastly, I am finicky about well-balanced channel plans.
