dude its like this the channel on a satellite dish is partially chosen by the lnbf   depending on what voltage you send to the dish whather it be 13v or 18v or in some cases 22khz tone, decides which channel you watch      with cable all of the freqs. are coming through the same coax at the same time..    Dish network has come up with technology to use only one line to a dvr   but not directv..........
     .However , has anyone tried to combine feeds from two outputs on a multiswitch for Directv and then use a seperator for the end at the receiver
