POSITION TITLE: DIRECT SALES REPRESENTATIVE
(Base pay plus Commission and full benefits)
JOB DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this position is to sell cable television services in-person to potential subscribers.
Has extensive contact with customers and general public.
Canvasses assigned sales territory and solicits orders for new cable services.
Solicits interest in purchasing cable television services by verbally communicating services to customers, in person.
Ability to travel door-to-door.
Utilizes general knowledge of city and map reading in order to travel to assigned territories.
Utilizes effective sales skills.
Completes customer orders and weekly sales activity reports.
Utilizes writing skills to manually report various information.
Utilizes basic knowledge of mathematics.
May collect customer payments for initial services.
Utilizes clear and concise verbal communications.
Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Sales or customer service experience is preferred.
Persuasive written and verbal communications skills.
Thorough knowledge of city and map reading, cable product, programming choices and prices, basic mathematics.
Ability to travel door-to-door, and handle face-to-face sales issues and challenges.
Must have own vehicle (with valid driver’s license).
