POSITION TITLE: 5 SERVICE TECHNICIANS - Detroit Region
Several shifts available

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Performs customer service calls per system requirements and performs distribution line evaluations/repairs from the tap to the trunk amplifier.
Recognizes existing and/or potential customer problems and is able to communicate same to the supervisor.
Uses a signal analyzing meter, as well as other equipment needed to perform assigned tasks.
Recognized and repairs CLI (Cumulative Leak Index) problems.
Knows the basic operating parameters of the cable system in order to interact with the other system personnel in an outage and/or personnel shortage situation.
Locates underground cables and performs general preventative maintenance..
Takes headend level and extremity reports as required.
Performs the duties of Installer when required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Able to climb ladders and gaff telephone/utility poles to a height of approximately 20 feet. Able to lift and handle a ladder weighing approximately 69 pounds which requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive motions.
Possess a valid driver’s license, and comply with TWC’s vehicle safety operations policy.
Efficiently uses hand tools including hammer, drills, crimpers, wrenches, etc..
Able to effectively use/read test equipment (leakage detector, meters, TV, etc.).
Able to work in adverse weather conditions as required, as well as enter confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces as required.
Possess good English reading, writing and arithmetic skills to accurately complete daily work orders and other paperwork as required.
On call hours: will be available to perform tasks, responsibilities or special assignments as required by the system during non business hours..
Is neat with self, as well as with equipment/company vehicle, and conduct self in a respectable, responsible and courteous manner.
Possess a cooperative attitude toward customer, employees, and the company.
