Sean Sisler, 25, of Pequannock, N.J., had gone to a residence in the Lake Hill Farm subdivision of Chester on Monday, Jan. 16, to install cable service for the customer. While in the residence, Sisler asked the resident to stay in the basement by the cable line and monitor a “sensor” while he went upstairs checking phone lines. While the resident was in the basement, Sisler removed a jug of change valued at $461. He later cashed the coin in for paper money at a New Jersey bank.
Sisler was taken into custody on Wednesday by Detective Sal Ardisi. He was charged with one count of petit larceny and released on bail to appear in town court on Feb. 27.
