One thing to remember when looking at the diagnostic screens on a modem when it relates to signal levels, Non of these devices has a signal level meter in it they base there levels on the performance of transmit and receive and how much the CMTS requires the modem to turn up to achieve 0db at the CMTS, If the return path is out of whack this reading can be out of whack. It only tells you there is an issue some ware. Always really on a meter reading.
