Well I think that the problem isn't finding the noise, the problem is getting paid for finding the noise, the MSO's want their systems cleaned up but when they get the bill they always piss and moan about it, the solution? There is none, what you can do though is go out to a node and identify and tag the ingress for a nickel, then have the system guys go out and solve the problems and then have the bean counters analyze over all turn key cost, now that you have an understanding of the overhead, pay me my .15 and I'll do my job. (Sounds simple hu? NOT. It seems there's always that one guy with in the MSO structure that thinks he's getting fu*ked by the contractor and we are all back to square one). Oh one last thing, call it what you want, but most contractors that are moving forward with a solid contract fail to weigh in the lunches, hunting trips, ring side seats and so on, this takes .08 right off the top
