It just depends on your location. I make around them figures as we speak. And do pretty well for myself. But all of my locations are generally in the Okla,Kansas,Nebraska,North Texas area. Usually the cost of living is a lot less than Colo. I remember Ft. Collins paying $1000 a month for housing compared to $500.00 in SW Kansas. And we are just talking about a 200 mile difference.When I was subbing,of course I made so much more, but the overhead is a killer, not to mention the emotional stress of always chasing a dollar. As far as my situation I chose 12 plus per diem,401k.med,den,vac,etc over sub-contracting. I may not be making a killing no more but assured Friday I know I have a check. Have a good day////
