This is exactly what the MSO's have been doing to the contractors for the last 3 years. They are contiually bulking line items together and dropping the rates. (Composite Billing) They now want free digital boxes with every new outlet intalled. They want pre-existing lines toned, new fittings intalled, wallplated etc... for FREE. Everything is now included!!!!!!!! Labor is nothing as long as they are not paying for it. Basically your lucky if the you can get a New Drop and Primary(Tap to TV) for 38.00, now let that price trickle down to the installer. This just one of many items that is suffering. Another real problem is the FLY by NIGHT Companies in this business going for a quick buck, they have bid the prices so low to secure contracts they cannot possible be providing quality service. I think also the Bottom Feeding Scavengers that have infilitrated this great industries have robbed many careers all for the might dollar. Now these same practices are influencing the Satellite world. I share your concerns and have been dealing for the last 3 years and now only watching as yourside gets to deal.
